Syntax error on pie-register.php after update

Oh, I got this too. It means your version of PHP is too old. I was running PHP 5.2 and I had to upgrade to PHP 5.3 to fix it. Google says that “anonymous functions are only supported on 5.3+”.

Now, given that PHP 5.2 is supported by WordPress still, I think there should at least be a warning in the Pie-Register release notes about the required PHP version changing with version 1.30 of Pie-Register.

the latest version broke my site as well with the error message listed above. My host is running PHP 5.2.17 and I don’t anticipate they are going to upgrade on my account to get this plugin to work.

I’d like to reinstall the old version – is it available for download anywhere?

I have the same problem…. what I am going to try is to erase the new version through ftp and intall an old one. You can download here on “Developers”.

Hi again. My site works again. I have renamed through FTP the folder wp-content/plugins into /plugins_no. Before I have got into backend and rename again into plugins. All plugins were “off”. I have inactivated and erased the “pie register” one and reactivated the others… It has worked for me.

Pie register is a helpful plugin. But this updated version is really a fatal error. Please help. Thanks.
