How To Enable Featured Content Slider

First you have to set a static front page using the homepage template. Please read this: https://www.mhthemes.com/blog/how-to-set-a-static-front-page/

When you have done this, you can place widgets in the widget areas “Home 1” until “Home 5”, e.g. the MH Slider Widget. This will help you: https://www.mhthemes.com/documentation-mh-magazine-lite/#widgets

To set categories in the widgets, you will need the category ID. Please read this: https://www.mhthemes.com/blog/how-to-find-wordpress-category-id/

Images will appear when you set them as “Featured Image” on the post edit screen in your WordPress dashboard.

How do I get my images to all show the same size in the slider like on the demo?

Minimum size for images in the slider is 620x264px. If your images have this size or larger and they are not appearing the same in slider, please run the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin once and you are fine: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

Thanks, so 2 more questions. How do I make all of the slider pictures the same size? Also, why do my pages not appear at the top of the home page? The example has a black line across the top with the pages, but it is ‘t there on my home page. Thanks.

=> as I said, please run the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin. If your images are too small for the slider, you have to upload a larger image and set it as featured image for the specific post.

Minimum image size for the slider of the premium version is 940x400px.

thanks for downloading MH Magazine lite.

On the homepage you will have to use the several widget locations called “Home x” and not the sidebar widget location. The sidebar is only displayed on posts, pages and archives.

please open the stylesheet (style.css) and change everything with color #e64946 to your preferred color.

Btw. in the premium version of the theme you don’t need to edit the code, for most of the elements there are color options available where you can change the colors very easily using colorpickers. You can learn more about the premium version here: https://www.mhthemes.com/themes/mh/magazine/
