    Hi,

I’ve setup my main wordpress website at https://lambroscomputers.com. I have 6 top level .com’s for search terms relating to my area (ie- computerservicesfortmyers.com). I’d like to setup separate sites for each domain and edit the content to rank for specific search terms relating to each top level domain name. I want my blog and basic content to be shared among all the domains except on the home pages which is widget based.

Is multisite the best way to do this? I like the idea of adding a plugin and having it propagated to all the sites…

Am I on the right track here or completely wrong? Can anyone offer advice?

    Thanks.

You mean you want all the sites to have the same content?

Yes or have them all pointing to the same content. Essentially I want the home page to be worded different on each one but everything else identical.

That’s not a good idea. It’ll hurt your SEO ranking (read: It will cause Google to despise you and treat you like a spammer), and it’s a living nightmare to maintain.

If you want your content to ‘rank’ based on domain name, you should post the content on that domain, and only that domain.
