• Hi guys,

I bought a domain which I forwarded to my hosting. Now the domain forwarding works but I have no clue how to get WP installed from there.

I have an Amazon ec2 server running on 50.19.100.121
i have now 3 domains running on that ip, I have now added the 4th and created a subdirectory on the ftp but how do I move from here.
    (already created database in phpmyadmin)

so basically I want to install wordpress on https://www.idea-matic.pl

I need help with it since my wordpress guru is on vacation.

  • If you created the database on the right server, then you just need to install WordPress into the subdirectory you’ve created. This should be able to outline the steps for you: Installing WordPress

Yes I did, I have also moved the wordpress installation into that sub-folder which I created on the FTP but when I access the site I get an 404 error instead of the config installation.

Where did you move it from?

Would these steps help? Moving WordPress

on the ftp i have now 4 installations of WP
the main is in the root.
    then i have 3 subfolders DE /TR / PL
PL is the new one which I just created.
i think the problem is how can i get the domain https://www.idea-matic.pl to recognize that the installation is in the PL folder

Oh, sure. Your hosting and/or domain name registrar providers should be able to give you instructions specific to your account for forwarding the DNS to the right place.

Did you get this resolved? If not I think I know exactly how to fix this. Here to help if you need it still.

If you have a solution, please post it here.
