• Often times there are issues with sites being hacked, such as there’s a potential security issue buzzing around today.

It seems the main focus of that is having a common word for your database password.

There are hundreds of options out there, a Google search for example gives tons of sites with tips, suggestions, and generators to create secure passwords.

So while things are being sorted out as to what is legit and what isn’t, it wouldn’t hurt to harden your passwords on your site, and stop using your cat’s name as a password, and go with something like tz0ae3q.

To change your database password, you would go into PHPmyadmin, and alter your user’s password. Then go to your wp-config.php file, and change the password there too.
