Change formatting for specific words

This sounds weird, but on the House of Leaves forums (https://houseofleaves.com), in posts, whenever the word house is used, it will automatically be made blue, or whenever minotaur or other words are used, various changes in formatting are automatically done.

So I was thinking about setting it up to be able to do that whenever I type in specific words or acronyms to change the formatting. For example: Whenever I type “C2” I would want the “2” to be smaller and in superscript. Or even typing “C^2” or something to keep from accidentally triggering it.

Are there any plugins that would allow me to do that? I looked around and I see some that are close, but I don’t know if it’ll do the super script. Yeah, I know, it’s not that hard to just type in the HTML, but anything that makes me lazier is something I wholeheartedly endorse.
