How do I move the Menu bar?

Hi everyone,
I feel the need to start this with a thank you for being here.

I am in the process of completing my WP site, and think the site would look much better if I could somehow move the menu bar to below the main picture, so that the whole menu can be seen, ideally above the text. It really looks messy atm. Ideally, a box to the right with a menu would be better perhaps..?

I am not hugely technical… learning as I go, and this is my first wordpress site ??
