removing characters in permalinks

  • Hi all,

    I realize WP will replace spaces and characters like !? to – automatically when constructing a permalink. But as I am building a non-English site, I wonder if it’s possible for WP to auto reaplce characters like ！＄？ as well. I am comfortable editing the codes, so if anyone can give me some directions would be much appreciated.
