next_post() filter by author??

I am putting together a side-by-side blog at https://pmagistro.com/philandapryle/

I am trying to incorporate previous_post() and next_post() links into the “Single Page” template, but would like those links to filter by author. ie, if you are reading a post by “Phil”, the previous and next post functions only display posts by “Phil”.

Alternately, include author name in the link so the reader knows that they’ll be switching authors?

Any thoughts?
