    Hi ADorward,

Unfortunately, the plugin does not support such feature since categories per se don’t use images by default. You need a special script to alter WordPress’ core for that.

A possible solution would be to use a custom field to tell WPP which image to fetch, but then you’d have to edit your posts to use that custom field and assign the image on each one of them manually. More on this on the FAQ section under How does WordPress Popular Posts pick my posts’ thumbnails?.

    Thanks for your response.
The latter idea i had thought of but to your point would require too much effort.

I have a plugin that is category image, so i figured there must be some code that can quite easily call those images, except i’m not a coder.

    Any ideas?
    If not, no worries.

    Thanks!

I’m pretty sure this category image plugin you mentioned also uses meta data, so it would be possible to access the image via custom fields (though I can’t be sure without looking at the code). However you’re right, that would require some work – specially if your site already has a lot of posts.
