    It could be my web host but I still want to give you a notification about this issue:

    By changing the setting from client-side to server-side, the plugin broke the WordPress installation completely. Nothing works, not the WP-admin or the site itself. 500 (Internal Server Error) it says.

    The message I received from the web server states that a new BR has been added to the URLs, right after the forward slash after the TLD for single posts and pages. The extra BR is not present when requesting the start page.

    Check the .htaccess. But this modification is made through the WP API so that it’s changed safely. Not sure why it breaks everything but check the file.

    I deleted the plugin folder and the htaccess file, saved the permalink structure twice and now the site is online again.

    Okay nice to know it works now. Strange if affected the website that way though.
