@jnschmid and @peppeirace: Would either of you be willing share login details so we can trouble shoot that error? If you’re willing, you can send them via our bug report form:

    https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/

That just goes right to our tech support email. Be sure to let us know that we asked you to send credentials.

If not, I’m not quite sure where to start on this one. I’d probably run through some basic troubleshooting, starting with temporarily deactivating plugins and seeing if you can upload correctly.

I’d also check your image sizes. If you are uploading large full resolution images, please try smaller ones.

As I said, if you send login details, we may be able to dig into this more.

    Thanks,
    Erick

    ok
in the site there is nothing yet I’m just startin to learn WP

    to login
    ishoni.it/wp-admin
    admin

in the main menu you will found “galleria_350” I did this gallery uploading the images via ftp and then create the thumb managing gallery

I noted that in the files directory I have now two folder: “galleries” that is totally (no thumbs folder) empty and galleriesgallery_f345 where I uploaded images
    – my gallery name is gallery_f345 – and not galleriesgallery_f345″

in this one before the upload there was also the thumbs folder

    thanks

You can try to use the browser uploader instead of the flashuploader.
Gallery > Add Gallery / Images

With the button “Disable flash upload”, you can use the browswer uploader.
Disadvantage is that you only can choose one picture at the time for the uploadlist. But it can be the solution ??

    thanks
but at moment the site is not working, I installed a new theme and somethings where wrong

Okay, then I would try to run the wordpress website first clean without plugin(s) and then come back ??

I’m having this same problem, with both the flash uploader and the browser uploader. The little green check appears next to the file, but the box in the corner tells me 0 images were uploaded, and there is nothing in my gallery.

I disabled all other plugins and tried again, still didn’t work.

I uploaded the image files directly into the content folder on the server, but the admin screen still shows no files in the gallery.

I’m at a loss as to what to try next.

Have you tried to change the file permissions on ftp to 775?

Hi all – If anyone is having the problem of not being able to upload OR the iamges are uploading but saying they are not, and you are willing to share WP and FTP login credentials, please feel free to submit your credentials via our bug report form.

Please say Erick asked you to send credentials, and add a link to this thread so we can link it to this issue.

We’ll treat any credentials and very delicately. We’re not able to duplicate this error, so being able to see it on a couple sites would really help us solve it quickly.

    https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/

As you’ve probably seen, we’ve had a lot of issues to deal with, but we’ll probably be looking at this one tomorrow (Fri) if we can get the credentials.

    Thanks,
    Erick

@peppeirace: I’ve added yours to the list.

@maurice0082: file settings definitely are set to 775.
Can look into getting you credentials, will have to look them up at home.

    Hi all

it seems to be an https problem.
could reproduce it at my site.

    works without https
    doesnt work with https.

    cheers

same problem, since update to 3.6
has nothing by me to do with https
doesnt work by http or https.

Same problem. I am a huge fan of NextGen Gallery…been successfully using it for about two years; using http, not https. Now no new pix will load. Here’s what I have done so far:
    1) tried it on both MS Explorer and Firefox…same results on both.
    2) tried to load a large batch (118) of new pix to an old gallery…it went through the motions, up to about 90% loaded for each picture, then popped up the yellow warning triangle with the scroll-over message “http problem”…none of them loaded.
    3) cut down the size to under 10 pix…same problem except each one would get to 100% before the error triangle appeared.
    4) tried loading a single pic…same problem.
    5) tried creating a new gallery…nothing happened and while it looked like it might be successful, when you looked for the gallery it wasn’t there.
    6) went to the “Manage Galleries” tab and tried to create a new gallery there…it worked.
    7) tried loading images to the new gallery…same problem as above.
    8) used a FTP software to manually load pix into the gallery file and then used the “look for new files” option; it found the pictures, assigned file numbers to them; but would not develop thumbnails for them or display them.
I’m not sure what else to try.

I just figured out that, at least in my case, IT’S THE THEME! I have sites using the Weaver II theme and it works like a champ. My site using EduPress won’t load a single picture (as described above.)
