Display only one category in a sidebar

  • Hi. I have a category called Testimonials. I want to display only posts from the this category in the sidebar.

    I went to Custom Sidebars, Default Sidebars and selected Category – Testimonials. I get this message. Please advise what to do?

    “There are no replaceable sidebars selected. You must select some of them in the form above to be able for replacing them in all the post type entries”

    I figured out what to do, so I selected the Sidebar on the Custom Sidebars tab. But now if I select the Testimonials sidebar for the Testimonials category, it still doesn’t filter. Do you have any documentation on exactly how to set this up, because I can’t figure out what I need to do.

    Hi there,

    Sorry about the extreme delay here!

    If you go to appearance > custom sidebars > default sidebars > posts types (click), choose the sidebar from the dropdown box of your select post type and save.
