• I’ve noticed some subtle but odd things with my text formatting.

    1) On my main URL, roughly the last five posts are in italics. This is not reflected in the text editor, where everything looks fine.

    2) When visiting on of my “Pages” the entire sidebar turns bold (Links, etc.)

I would like to use this opportunity to learn more while (hopefully) fixing things so if anyone can just indicate where I’d start looking to troubleshoot I’d appreciate it.

I’m new to CSS. Am I looking for oddball tags here?

    Thanks.

  • I think indeed you have runaway oddball tags. For example in your post titled “Screw You! Yoda”, there are quite a lot of redundant em tags, so many that I didn’t even bother counting and finding the extra one.

You must be using the WYSIWIG editor, right? You can edit that post, then switch into HTML mode and you’ll spot those odd tags right away.

As for problem 2, I’d suggest looking at the page source where the problem happens, and skim through the page to see if there’s anything odd.

The best thing actually, is to use the W3C validators to test out your page:
    https://validator.w3.org/

The core of the problem here is not CSS related, it’s about using XHTML tags. I acutally find the WYSIWYG editor more trouble than it’s worth—for me.

    WoW!

Lots to do tomorrow lol I have 40 errors

    Thanks for the link alrescha
