Plug in for creating then interting and retrieving data from a custom database

  • Hello,
    I am curious to know if there already exists a plug in that allows creating a custom database and inserting and retrieving data from that database.
    For example: database: vendor
    And can insert new vendors through and interface and retrieve them.
    And also delete/edit the vendors
    Or would this be a custom plug in that would have to be written?
