Hi. Thank you for this widget. It’s easy to use and I was able to customize it to suit my website perfectly.

However, for some reason the Twitter feed is not updating automatically. To refresh the feed, I have to go into the widget settings and click “Save changes” (even if I’ve made no changes).

There was no problem connecting to the Twitter user account, and I’ve had no other issues with the widget.

    Hi empirebeige,

Thank you for reporting the problem you are having. The updates are done in the background after page load, so it will actually take two page refreshes to see the updated tweets on your website. Is this potentially what is happening? This is done so that rendering the page is never delayed by a lengthy call to the Twitter API.

Alternatively, on the settings page there is now an error log, is there anything in this? Any failed attempts at updating your Tweets should now be displayed here.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hi empirebeige,

Was it the fact it doesn’t update until the second page refresh which threw you off? Or are you still having issues with the plugin not automatically updating Tweets?

If there are still problems and there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Hi. I manually refreshed the page, but I didn’t get the latest tweets. I updated Kebo to the latest version, but for some reason after installing it, I was unable to move any widgets around. Functionality was restored after deactivating the plugin. I ended up switching to another Twitter widget. Sorry.

These issues might also be related to the theme I’m using, since it’s custom made. Also, my WordPress version is not the latest.

    Hi empirebeige,

I am very sorry that you had so many problems trying to use the plugin, thank you for making the time to let me know and explain the problems you had.

I will review the method Tweets are updated. It seems odd that only saving settings updated them, as it calls the same function to update everything. Nevertheless I will review the code and make sure there are no scenarios where it does not work as intended.

I will also look into drag and drop breaking on the Widget page, as this is a serious problem. It would usually be linked to javascript errors but that doesn’t make much sense in this case. I have not done a review of the plugin on all the old versions down to 3.0, so that will be my first test.

Thank you again for your feedback and I will endeavour to ensure that future users have a better experience using the feedback you have given.
