Can't find Theme Options button under Appearance, in WordPress 3.5.2 version?

    Brand new to WordPress and this version. Can’t find Theme Options button under Appearance, in WP Dashboard of WordPress 3.5.2 version? As indicated in WordPress book, learnhowtocreateawebsite.com, and pictured in page 40, 41,…no reply from book author yet? Anyone know how to locate this button?

  • Theme options are only available on a per-theme basis. Not all themes offer options.

    Sorry, forgot to mention, I’m using the TwentyTen theme. However, one Question for you: I would have thought the WP Dashboard in 3.5.2 version would contain the menu & button options available, in this case, the button named, Theme Options, under the Appearance button or tab, if you will] and not the theme itself?
    So, you’re saying, the downloaded theme (that one chooses dictates what one sees in the WP Dashboard menu & button options). It’s not fixed like say in Microsoft Word in the tool bar, for example?

    Theme options are supplied by the currently active theme. If your currently active theme does not have any theme options, you will not have a Theme Options tab.
