• I have installed WP at the root of my domain. Going to my website goes to to mywebsite.com/index.php with the blog right at the begining.

I want a homepage page before my blog without having to reinstall everything in a different folder. is that possible??
This is what I have tried:

I noticed index.html have a prior access than index.php. Now when clicking on a page link (page created with WP) the links are broken and it goes to the index.html start page

in the WP option I added the /index.php for the location of my blog…nothing same problem

I created a page in wp that would be my homepage (say “home”) and then went to my domain control panel to create a rediction to this page. Same issue, clicking on a link to another page made thru wp would go to the “home” page, not the right one.

Do I really have to move evrything to a directory or is there a way to make a homrpage that would get a prio access than index?php and that would not break my links??

    thanks a lot
