New NextGen Gallery crashing wordpress repeatedly

I’m not actually sure if I’m having a NextGen problem, but wordpress has been giving me endless problems for weeks. Slow loading times, often crashing and I have to completely sign back in. The most trouble comes when i try to add images from nextGen Gallery. if I’m lucky, I can get one pic in a blog before wordpress crashes. Then it takes me numerous tries to actually sign back into my dashboard. in order to get, say 4 images in a blog post, I have to put in one at a time, if actually succeed in placing the pic without NextGen crashing, I have to sign out, then go back in. Also, when I pick “center” for an image I’m placing, it does not get centered, it stays in the left margin. This really seems like a problem with NextGen gallery. I’m completely up to date with NextGen (just updated today) and wordpress (3.6).

On a separate note, my “add link” button is no longer live for about a week now. I can not add links to my blogs.

Is anyone else having HUGE problems with wordpress for the past several weeks as I’m describing? I really don’t know what I can do to get my website back in business at this point.
