I recently updated the Events Manager plugin and now I cannot change any of the settings and a few of the functions like the calendar window in the new event admin post area are no longer working. When I click on Settings it says it is unable to load the page and gives me an Error 500.

I’m going to try to uninstall the plugin and reinstall it to see if something was corrupted during the update, but am worried that I’ll lose all the events in my calendar.

Is there a way to download all the events off of the website and then upload them after the reinstall without losing any information?

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  • The best way would be to take a backup using something like phpMyAdmin or a backup plugin and then restore it if needed.

That said, reinstalling the plug doesn’t delete your event data.

It sounds like your problem is a just clash with another plugin or your theme. Have you tried disabling all other plugins and switching to the default theme? Does that cure the problem?

If it does, reactivate each plugin one by one until you find the one that’s causing the problem.

unless you click ‘uninstall’ in EM you won’t lose any info. you can deactivate, delete and reactivate without a problem.
