• The W3 plugin works great, thanks! ??

I’m having one issue though; since launching my website, I have been making occasional design changes. I update the template file and my style.css file as needed, and then I go in to the W3 settings and empty the cache. However, for every viewer who has been to the site before, it loads the new HTML but does not load the new style.css – they need to refresh the page before it takes effect. Obviously this is a big problem as it makes the pages look completely wrong on the first visit from my users. How can I fix this so that styles.css is always loaded when I have made an update to it?

  • I’ve been having this problem as well.

Here is what I can add to the conversation:

I’ve updated my style.css file and the updates aren’t being reflected.

When I use Firebug, the changes are not apparent. However, when I’m in WP’s editor, all of the changes are there.

One possibility that I have seen in other posts is that the problem could be linked to my host’s Page Speed Optimization setting. I’ve disabled it for now but the problem is still there.

I am using W3 Total Cache and when it is deactivated the changes I’ve made are there–the site looks the way I want it to…SO the problem seems to be with my configuration of W3 Total Cache.

    Any recommendations?

    Thank you! Erik

I forgot to add thaat I’ve cleared the cache in my browsers and thought I was purging cache from W3 Total Cache as well.
