Permissions settings change after losing password?

I just recently restored my computer (with a back up ghost image).

And this image did not have my WordPress Admin password in the cache.

Unfortunately I had to use the “Forgot Password” feature to reset it.

Anyway, now when i login and try to write a post or edit my Blog it tells me “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

Is this a bug or the way the program is suppose to behave?

If so, how / where do i reset my permissions level back to adminstrative status.

Any insight will be much appreciated.
