new WordPress theme and Google?

  • Hi all WP gurus

    I have a couple of basic questions regarding a WP theme.

    Its an existing site and I’m not happy with the theme and want to change to a new theme.

    The question is will the Google love it has acquired in the past month or 2 since the site went live be lost by changing to a new WP theme?

    Is it possible to install a a new WP theme and have the same blog content, copy, pics etc as the old WP theme.

  • If I understand things correctly, changing a theme is like changing a skin with nothing on the inside being changed. All links will still go to their respective pages or posts and so on, it might just take a little while for you to arrange them in your new display.
