• I’ve loaded animated gifs onto our site several times, and they have always worked fine. I know that the gifs need to be resized before they are loaded onto the site, and that is what I did in this case, and yet! When I look at the images in Add Media -> Uploaded to This Post, they play. When I hit “View Post,” they do not play.

They are not too big for the allotted space, so WP wouldn’t have resized them. They are saved and loaded as .gif files, as I have always done.

I’m not sure if you can see this image, as the post isn’t live yet, but this is one of the gifs in question:

Any ideas what might be going on here?

(I have read many older discussions of animated gifs + WordPress, but none of them address my specific question — they all seem to come down to sizing, and I do not believe that that is what’s happening on my site. If this question has been answered, however, please forgive the oversight!)
