• So in short I would like a role to be able to edit their own and publish a specific post_type. Lets say it’s House.

    The options i found is:
    Access Manager -> Capabilities ->Miscelaneous
    Read House
    Delite House
    Publish Houses
    Edit House
    Edit Houses
    Edit Others Houses

They are all kind of self-explaining but I just cant get it to work.
I’ve tryid all kind of combos while checking the options and I just end up with the role able to edit all posts or no posts at all. I just want the role to be able to edit their OWN posts.

But when I try the same options for the Post post_type it works as expected. The user can only edit their own posts.

I use Magic Fields to create costum post_type’s.

Does the last mentioned plugin leave something out that’s needed to let AAM load everything correct? Or is there a bug in AAM?

I just bought the Premium version and is really in need of this function. Any ideas? Could I get pointed somewhere?

    Thanks

  • Hi Daym,
The capabilities you mentioned are custom. Means, the Magic Fields plugin created them and it should support them. If it does not work for you the way expecting, then this is a question to Magic Fields developers.
I’m not sure how this plugins works, but I believe that it creates custom post types. And if native WordPress capabilities does not have any impact, this means that they implemented different behavior.
You may contact them and ask for support.

    Regards,
    Vasyl
