    Hello,

I love customizr but I’m having problems getting CSS to target anything on my other pages using either the custom css area or my child theme css file.

I use page builder by origin to build my pages and I’m now trying to add some visual design to the pages but nothing is being targeted by the CSS recommended by page builders’ developers.

Any suggestions on why this is happening?

  • Have you tried using Firebug? (Better in Firefox than Chrome). You’ll get a clear idea on what is being targeted. I use it all the time to diagnose Forum queries.

@rdellconsulting can you tell me a little more about Firebug? Is it a download to my hard drive or a plug in to my wordpress?

I’m looking for something that can help me adjust styles/formats on my individual pages in a way that will not affect all pages on my site.

I’ve been using the Font Manager Plug In to adjust things like color, size, font style, etc., but it is glitchy – sometimes it will apply a change throughout my site (when I don’t want it to) and sometimes the changes I make only show up when I hover (when I want the change to be static). I’m getting tired of unreliable and inconsistent results.

Do you think Firebug would be a solution to this problem?

Firebug’s actually a Firefox addin (& Chrome but not as effective yet).

It’s more a diagnostic tool that shows how CSS is being interpreted, for example. Well worth using if you have the patience to learn it.

The way to adjust styles/formats is to get a better understanding of CSS. (And I’m not being patronising – it’s taken me months of blood, sweat & tears to get anywhere near where I need to be).

Each page has a unique page class (which you can see in Firebug). You need to use that to target CSS to specific pages.

    Try this:
