• My client has been adding around 50 images to a blog post and says that when she publishes, some of these images are disappearing.

I have no idea what is happening. I just looked at the post in question and the featured image on the blog home page for that post has been replaced with <figure class=”gallery-thumb”> and a thumbnail shows with the words “This gallery contains 51 photos.” except there is no gallery on the page and when you click through to the post, there is only 13 images.

The blog uses a child theme of Twenty Eleven, but really aside from a few css changes, the only main change is the featured image thumbnail added to teh blog index page.

I am pretty sure, she is doing soemthing wrong somewhere, but have no idea what! Can anyone shed any light?

  • It could be an upload issue… please provide us with the url?

Can you switch to the default Twenty Eleven theme and see if the gallery works then? That would mean that there’s “something wrong” with the child theme code.

Well I was able to insert 50 images myself all at once on the post with the child theme, and all showed up in the post. I discoverd the <figure class=”gallery-thumb”> was due to her selecting gallery as the post type.

I think it is more that she did something wrong! But since it is all working for me when I try I have no idea what to tell her not to do!
