  • Hi brandee, it can often be helpful to see the problem with our own eyes ??

Can you provide a URL for your site so we can observe this?

    Sure. https://www.awakeningsconnection.com/events

I had purchased the pro version last year but I never was able to resolve the conflicts. I was going to upgrade with this new version hoping it would be different. It has the same issues. If I can’t get this work again with this theme it is another waste of money. If you can help that would be great!

Looks like you can get Pro Support here:

(These forums are only for free versions of plugins/themes.)

I don’t think you understood my last post. I don’t need pro support as I didn’t renew due to the existing conflicts I had with pro. Now I have conflicts with the new free version.

If I can’t get this work again with this theme it is another waste of money.

So what did you pay for?

    Hi Brandee,

I took a look and the likely cause of this is that your site is using a very old version of the jQuery library (1.4.4), whereas the current release of WordPress is bundled with jQuery 1.10.2 (and the earliest version of WordPress that we currently support is WordPress 3.5 – which I believe shipped with jQuery 1.9.2).

Best I can tell this much older version of jQuery is put in place by your theme:

    themes/eleganza/js/jquery-1.4.4.min.js

Perhaps you could contact the theme author and enquire if this is necessary and/or if there is a simple way to change this? Often there is – by dequeueing the old version and enqueuing the new one – but it would be best to seek the advice of the theme author in case doing so breaks some other component.

    Hope that helps!
