    Hi Mike,

Based on your suggestion, I installed woocommerce. So far, it is doing what we need. Additional registration and payment area, ability to purchase items from store, and register for invitational and pay for them.

Is there a way to merge woocommerce data into your application? I would like to see if there is a way to capture a couple woocommerce fields and move them to swim team so I have one place to look.

What did you do for TSA based on swimteam / woocommerce?
Are they separate? Did you capture some data and move it over to swimteam.

I see I never answered this question – sorry about that.

There isn’t an easy way to integrate WooCommerce and wp-SwimTeam. It would likely require writing a special plugin that interfaced between the two.

I never had to solve this problem with our swim team because, being part of a country club, we didn’t collect money. The billing and payment was handled by the country club. The club’s simply downloaded one of the Excel reports and add a billing to the various members accounts.

What some other teams did was to use swimmer custom fields to denote whether or not the swimmer was paid up. They used the Admin custom fields so they weren’t visible to the swimmer or parent but could only be seen or changed by the team admin. They would use reports, which can also export these custom fields, to generate mailings via Excel.

Wish I had a better answer but with about a million ways to solve the billing and payment problem I ultimately chose not to solve it at all. A bit of a cop out I realize but since it wasn’t something I needed personally, it was never high on the priority list.

I have used WooCommerce for three projects and stand by that recommendation. It has plenty of hooks that if someone really wanted to integrate the two, I think it is possible.

    HI Mike,

Thanks for the answer. I think I will try but feel that it needs to be separate too. As we have two areas. 1) Registration – We can use swim team and create a drop down with paid and other fields to carry payment plans.

The woocommerce is for the store and selling items. I think it is best to least it alone.

What I was trying to eliminate was double enter in the billing information. Seems both plugins require same input, I wanted to eliminate for the user and see if it can be had from one true source. Speed for user typing and updates.

    Thanks again.
