    Hi 3×7 –

You can use the bp_group_hierarchy_available_parent_groups filter to limit parent group choices.

I’m not sure what you mean about setting the “depth” of the parent groups. Can you provide more detail about what you’re picturing?

    Hi David,

    quickest replies ever!

When you create a group now, under group hierarchy there is a dropdown to select under which group should current group fit.

In the dropdown is the complette list’
    -root
    -top level1
    -top level2
    -subgroup 1
    -subgourp 2

the problem is when you have a lot of the subgroups and if you don’t allow that subgroups should not have more subgroups…

It would be great if we could set the depth of the available groups that are allowed to be “parent groups”
    for example:
If I select the depth 0, only top level groups should be shown in the dropdown.
If I select the dept -1, or 1, then the first level subgroups should also be in the tropdown available for selecting as parent group.

And for hierarchy view I mean’t that the dropdown should show the hierarchy for parent groups avalable like:

    -root
    –top level1
    —-subgroup 1
    ——-2ndsubgroup
    –top level2
    —–subgourp 2
    etc…

    Hope u see it useful.

    Cheers!
