Just tested, cannot reproduce that.

However, I just made test file, with added checks for some constants.
It would help me, if you could test the below linked file. Just overwrite the main plugin file in /wp-content/plugins/multisite-toolbar-additions/ with the unzipped file from my download. That should fix this.

what did you use to compress it? when I unzip it, it just creates a file “multisite-toolbar-additions_test.zip.cpgz”

It was zipped with the regular Ubuntu ZIP app – use that for all, never heard of such a behavior. Maybe it’s on your OS or from saving? — Just did another download from Dropbox and works great…
