Please add 24-hour clock selection

  • To ensure correct entry of events, a 24-hour yes/no setting would be nice in Calendar Options, When “no” is selected, a mandatory am/pm selection box would be nice in the begin- and end-time data fields in Manage Events. I’m not going to be the one always entering calendar events – these checks would make sure event times are entered correctly. My instructions for event entry will be to always put “am” or “pm” after the time as appropriate, as 24-hour time is not the norm for my viewers or my people who work on the website.

  • You can enter times either in 24 hour mode or with am/pm. There is no need for a setting, both will be accepted.

    This is not about what will be accepted, but what is logical to the person entering the time for the event. It’s all very well, if I am the one doing the entry. In my case, many people will have access to enter events on the calendar, some of whom use computers sparingly and are not familiar with 24-hour time. If am/pm is not required, it most likely will not be entered, resulting in incorrect early-morning events.

    A 12-hour setting and am/pm mandatory checks would be great to make sure the time of events is entered correctly. Most other calendar plug-ins have the 12-hour and am/pm settings so that time is ALWAYS correct.
