Insufficient Privileges to add new gallery (with 3.3.6 !)

Hello there,
Having this problem, I looked at the post with the same title that pointed to the installation of the 3.3.6. Unable to do it (as are others) via WP, I manually installed it from the github source.
However, I still get the “Insufficient privileges” messages when trying to add a new gallery…
Any idea what the problem could be ?
