Looking for a gallery plugin without lightbox or reloads

  • I am looking for a gallery plugin that can emulate the Smugmug gallery behaviour.

    1) show thumbnails as a smart grid (like masonry)
    2) clicking a thumbnails shows the bigger version on the side and changes the hardlink without reloading the page. I don’t like Lightbox, because it seems clumsy and people can’t hardlink to the specific image and are tempted to re-host or deeplink to the .jpg instead of the gallery page.

    Anybody got an idea?
