• Hi

This has probably been covered but I can’t see it (wood for the trees and all that)

I’ve twice installed WP 3.6 on a subdomain of my webserver – all seems good, I can install themes, plugins etc

Then twice, i go back to play and my browser returns a server not found message (no error code ) (both on the pages and admin) – I’ve checked the path via my FTP client and all the files are in place – which tells me I’m missing something really obvious…

Can anyone point me in the right direction of a fix before my next install….

    Thank you

  • Check your server logs and see if there’s an error message which might provide some clues about what’s happening.

Also make sure that the domain name for your subdomain is set up correctly (it probably is but based on your info, might as well double check).

Other than that, check with your host.

    Hi Bemdesign

It appears to be some kind of re-direction issue – but I’m not totally sure yet.

the previous installs have been on sub-domains (for testing purposes), I’ve just installed to a subfolder on a main domain and it appears stable.

fingers crossed and RTFM I guess
