• I really like the clean look of this theme. I’ve installed it, re-installed it and re-re-installed it. I’ve turned off plugins and removed themes that might be conflicting and I still cannot get the post formats to work. They show up in my dashboard when creating a post. When I look at the posts that have been created, I see the icon in the post summary page for what format they should be (video, quote, standard) but they are not appearing on the site as they appear in the demo. As others have said, the video does not appear in the header at all (with or without a featured image). Am I missing something? The video shows in the post but not in the header. Any help would be appreciated as I would really like to go with this theme.

    Further testing looks like the issue is partially with the jetpack plugin from wordpress. When you deactivate that, the video in the header appears on some of the video posts. The quote posts still don’t work. I’ve turned off some of the elements of the jetpack plugin, but it only works if you deactivate the entire plugin. When you re-activate it, it reverts back to not showing the video in the header. Help?

    i think you are on track with the jetpack plugin. when i disable it i get closer to the goal but still a little flakey.

    Check out Serene’s documentation. The following excerpt is found on the page:

    4. Quote – The Quote post format takes the first block quote from your post and display it in your post’s header. To create a quote post, select the “Quote” post format and then add a “block quote” to your post. The first block quote in your post will be used in the header.

    Hope this helps,
    Wilson

    I too am having the same issue where by if I have Jetpack active the headers when using video/quote ect do not work correctly.

    Has anyone found a workaround as I would really like to have jetpack running – is it possible that it is one portion of jetpack that causes the conflict?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards
    Craig

    The Workaround I’ve found;

    publish the post (if you’ve got it sending to your social media accounts), disable jetpack, edit the post and just update it, then renable jetpack.

    It’s the only thing that works for me so far.
