Unable to install new version of WP

  • We are trying to install the newest version of WP. Within our Dashboard, we clicked “Update Now”, and get this message:

    Warning: copy(/usr/www/users/soaperz/wp-admin/includes/update-core.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /usr/www/users/soaperz/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 200

    Not quite sure what we need to do? Thanks!

  • You have a server permissions or ownership issue. You can either contact your hosts about this or try upgrading WordPress manually.
