  • Where you have you current image, go into visual tab in the posts editor.

Copy the existing image text, and save it somewhere.

    Then paste this

    <a href="https://www.munchrat.com/creamy-skor-dip-with-apples/"><img src="https://www.munchrat.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/DSCN4086.jpg" alt="dessert" width="75" height="75" /></a>

The first a href tells the system where to go when the image is clicked, and the img src tells it what photo to display. There are lots of other parameters such as height, width, class, align etc. and your original text you copied out above may need some parts adding back, hense why I asked you to save it first !

Play with the original parameters you saved, and you should be able to get it to work fine

Thanks for your quick reply. This doesn’t seem to work? I am using img.wpgallery and basically would like those photos in the gallery to redirect to another page on my site (the original blogs)

When I click on the photo and select edit image, a description box pops up with a link option. Then i get the option to insert/edit link where I can see all my pages and just need to click on the page and then Add link. However it doesn’t seem to work? is it because I am using the img.wpgallery? is there any other way to show a gallery of photos and then be able to click on them which navigates you to another page on the site? using Genesis studiopress.

hmm am slightly confused as I have not used the img.wpgallery – is this a separate plugin or part of studio press?

    and is

    https://www.munchrat.com/dessert/
    a gallery?

I am not sure? on the following page –
    https://www.munchrat.com/dessert/
I want to show a gallery or thumbnails of photos. When you click on those thumbnails I would like to link the photo to the shortlink – which brings you to the recipe or the blog. I have been trying it with the nutella cheesecake and having no luck.

I am using the Add media button – then create gallery
There is a gallery settings dropdown that links to: media file or attachment page.

Also in Edit Image – it looks I can add a link by just selecting the link button and selecting the page that I want the photo to link to

However it doesn’t work? and only opens up the photo larger.
