Do I really need to upload the readme & License files?

    Hi, really quick question.

    Am installing wp via ftp and wondered if I really need to include the readme.html and license.txt files?

  • You can try if your website works without them. but as i know they are not necessary for running your wordpress website and your website can work without them without facing functional problems.

    I normally don’t include those when I deploy a site. They don’t mean anything to the actual working of the system. They are only there for your own information.

    I never included them in my installation.
