Exceedingly annoying problem….please help!

  • Allright, my friend invited me to contribute to his WordPress blog with him. Now, I tried the wordpress.com service, but whenever I clicked “Options” it would give me a 404. The WordPress.com forums directed me here, suggesting that the problem is likely a result of the blog being hosted on a non-wordpress.com server, and directed me here..I’m kind of confused to be honest, I just wanted to see the options on th site, maybe change teh template, and it keeps giving me a 404, everything else seems to be working fine, anyone have any idea whats going on here?

  • I would check your pc if I was you, you’ve posted this thread 3 times already!

    You’ve not told us anything that would be useful to try and help.

    So, here are some leading questions:

    What’s the url of your blog?
    What version?
    Are the permalinks set to the default or … ?
    Does your friend have the same problem (with the same blog) that you do?

    I’ve tried it on two other computers, I’m experiencing teh same problem.

    Ok, firstly, I registered with wordpress.com initially. My friend then invited me to contribute to his blog. Now, everything is in working fine, except on the top bard, with dashboard and write and all that, the button that says “Options” always leads me to a 404, this page cannot be found on this server message.

    I’m assuming this is the most updated version, since I just signed up o WordPress yesterday. ??

    Already tried there, they had nothing and directed me here.

    OK, THIS is the page that appears whenever I click Options on wordpress.com…

    Any ideas on whats causing this?

    awesome. Now go back to wordpress.COM forums, clearly and rationally explain what’s going on, mention that all blogs are hosted by them at wordpress.COM and see if you can get some help. If you started your post there like you started it here, I don’t blame folks there for suggesting you go elsewhere. Give details. Give urls.
