    HI,

according to the WooCommerce documentation (https://docs.woothemes.com/document/email-faq/) “pending orders will not generate an email to custumers” — since customers who pay e.g. by CHECK or BANK ACCOUNT end up as pending orders they do not get an email confirmation of their order.

I believe they should get one to know that their order has been received by the merchant, right?

The easiest solution for me would be to just have the ADMIN new order email sent ALSO to the customer — how can I manage to do that?

    Thanks.
    Frank

Update: well, it seems like the initial status (pending) is immediately / automatically set to ‘on-hold’ when a customer had selected a payment via bank account or check and submits the order.
That status change from ‘pending’ to ‘on-hold’ triggers indeed a email message.

So, I believe the functionality I was missing is actually there — not sure why I didn’t get the order confirmation for the customer initially…may be an email delivery issue… however, I consider my question as closed for now.
