• I’ve searched the forum all day and installed at least two plugins to try to tackle this, but I’ve still not been able to accomplish it.

What I want to do is have the parent page be a kind of extended index for the child pages. This means I want to be able to include multiple elements from the child page and be able to style the appearance of the entire page. The elements that I want to include are:

    Title (clickable)
    Excerpt (clickable)
    Image (clickable)

In order to style this page, I first created a separate page template.

    I also installed this plugin:
    https://www.alexking.org/software/wordpress/2.0/ak-excerpt.php.zip

because I read on the forums that the_excerpt() could be used but it didn’t work on pages.

    I also installed this plugin:
    https://jaredquinn.info/software/wordpress-plugin/sublist/

This plugin’s instructions I didn’t really understand. Maybe everything I want is in this plugin but I couldn’t figure out how to get it to work. What I did get from it was the title and excerpt, none of which were clickable.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
