Modifications to TwentyTen v1.6

there are 2 WP directories on the site, bec when i set it up with godaddy several years ago it was set up incorrectly, so we created another directory…when im in worpress i have access to the twentyten-child theme, so i am assuming i set it up correctly

That site is not using a child theme.

that is the correct site. if i am in wordpress under the appearance -> editor section and have the ability to change to the child theme, doesn’t that mean it’s installed correctly?

The child theme must be the active theme on your site. When you go to Appearance > Themes, what theme shows as active?

ok, so now to revise my questions above:

1) How do I remove the page titles from appearing on each page? TAKEN CARE OF
2) how do i remove the “Leave a reply” comments section from each page? TAKEN CARE OF
3) finally, how do I remove “powered by wordpress” from the footer, and add a copyright and our contact information? Taken care of, BUT HOW DO I CENTER IT, AS IT’s PUSHED ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT?

one last thing…how do i remove all the white space above the header?

Okay cool – neither of us is crazy (nor is your site messed up) :). Try adding this to your style.css :

}

As to the footer code – nothing is being output by that code – try just putting the text you want in there.

amazing, i put the info above in the footer and its there…last 2 questions, i think/hope!

1) what is the best way to center the line above in the footer?
2) the copyright info still looks a bit screwy…how do i center that?
