make different color for current menu for custom menu

hello everyone, how to make different color for current or active menu. I find thread this linkbut still don’t know how to implement it in my website

I need the active menu is green same as hover and the rest is grey..

my knowledge of css and html are 15% ?? : ) need your advance..thankyou so much
