The Basics of Adsense?

    Hi,

    I am so very lost on this process. Can someone explain it to me? I’m trying to enable Adsense on my website, but I’m having trouble understanding how this is done.

    How do I go about enabling Adsense? Also, I did create an Ad Unit and pasted the code into a HTML widget, but I don’t see the ad. However, for some reason there is a huge wide sidebar ad that pops up on the left. How can I remove this?

  • Looks like the ad you tried to put in a widget is much bigger than the widget space – width 728px. So it won’t display there. Try getting the code for a smaller ad.

    I got a smaller size and it still doesn’t show.

    Also, how can I remove the big white sidebar ad on the left? it shifts the entire site to the right. Also, a video ad appears on the left bottom corner, very annoying lol.

    Looks like that sidebar is still narrower than the 300px width for the AdSense – so it won’t display there. You’ll have to either modify the theme (may not be simple – but ask on the theme’s own forum) or try another theme that has wider sidebars or put the ads in a different place.

    I don’t see anything on the left – or any ads on the bottom corner. Try clearing your browser cache and maybe try another browser – in case yours is doing that to your site.
