  • I don’t think this forum is the right place for that. I’d like to redirect people to wpbyexample.com where you can find real-world examples of themes and plugins.

    For example:

@jorisvdb – what’s your connection to that site? Just asking because every post you’ve made on these forums is referring someone there and that starts to look pretty spammy.

    Hello WPyogi,

I created it, because nothing like that exists and people keep on asking for example sites of themes and plugins.
But isn’t my connection to the site irrelevant? I believe I’m helping out by pointing people to the answer to their question. If you say it’s spammy I’ll stop (I can provide 100 links to example websites instead ??

    Cheers,
    Joris

I’m sorry but these support forums are not for promoting your site or driving traffic there.

If you want you can post your WordPress site to the “Your WordPress” forum and leave it at that. But replying to old topics like that for showing off your site? Please refrain from doing that.

    Edit:

If you say it’s spammy I’ll stop

It’s spammy. Thanks for your understanding.

    Hi Jan,

I’m not replying to random posts promoting my own site. It’s a researched answer to a specific question and people are thankful. Hey, I’m not the one asking the questions!

But I’ll follow your guidelines and do one more post in Your WordPress and refrain from the rest.

    Cheers,
    Joris

As long as it’s a site built on WordPress software. Sites about WordPress don’t count. ??

Sorry if I stepped on anyone’s toes with my original post. When I was trying to figure out how to get Gravity Forms Directory working, I found a site or two that already used it, and borrowed some ideas from there. I’ve seen people asking for examples, and thought this would be a good place for it.

    My apologies.
