    Hi. Congratulations on a great plugin.

    I just wanted to ask a question after testing the plugin. When a user adds a place, it is then visible in the places tab for that user. If another user is in the same area and clicks on the places tab, should there be a list of places near to them shown that other users have created?

    I’ve tested this out with a test user and when I click on the places tab it just says ‘sorry there are no places found, try a different filter.’

    If this is normal, is there anyway to make those places show up (similar to say Facebook)?

    Thanks for your feedback. I’ve just checked on my dev to be sure.

    When a place is created, it’s visible in user’s profile and on BP Checkins main page

    Once the places tab is activated, user can filter the places using the select box on the right : e.g. “Show : Places around”. But for it to work it’s necessary the user accept the website to get his position and cookie usage. If so, it should display the places around.

    I’ve doubled checked this by creating places on both my own and a test account. The places only show in the users own profile, bit they don’t show if another user goes to the places tab, even if they have allowed the site to use the current location. It just shows no places found, use a different filter.

    I thought it may be a template or plugin issue so have tried it with no plugins and the standard buddy press template but get the same result.

    Maybe there is something else that I’m missing?

    Actually, maybe I’ve mis-understood the function of the plugin. If I go to the places page, should I be able to see locations that others have added or only my own?

    If it is only my own, is it possible to make places that have been added visible to everyone?
