Slider Not Working

    I have recently installed the Mantra theme on my site https://www.thegreatsouthernbrainfart.com . I love it but I cannot get images to show up in the slider. I tried uploading photos to the wp-content/themes/mantra/images/slider folder and still nothing shows up at all.

    I have the slider set up to load latest posts. Everything seems to work except for the fact that no images show up.

    Any help on this is GRATELY appreciated and if you’re in the Atlanta area, I’ll buy you a beer or three as a thank you ??

    Sorry about the link embedding thing.

    I had the same problem. Open the media that you want to use in an different tab, copy the file URL, then paste it into the slider settings page. Then press save. Should work. The uploader itself doesn’t (seem to) work.

    Thanks for your reply but this doesn’t fix the option for the slider to load “latest posts.” I have it set to load the 10 most recent posts and while the info shows up in the slider, I cannot find a way to embed images into this. I have posted numerous times on the company’s support forum with no help at all.

    This was answered in the theme FAQs:

    “To make slider compatible posts it is required to add a post title (which will be used as the slide title) and a post featured image (which will be used as the slide image).
    Make sure the featured images are the correct size (the same one as the slider is configured).”

    Any text you type into the post will appear inside the slide caption.

    Thanks but this doesn’t tell me where the pictures need to be uploaded to in order for the “recent posts” slider to show them. I tried uploading a photo to the wp-content/themes/mantra/images/slider directory and it still didn’t work.

    You should upload them via WordPress’ upload functionality, either when writing the post or via Media > Library.

    Ii tried this and still nothing shows up in the slider. I dont’ understand why it’s so hard to make this happen. I can make it work if I do custom posts but not for “recent posts.” I give up. I’ve reverted back to another theme for now and will go purchase one who has better support.

    So unsatisfied by the failing slider you moved on to a different theme which doesn’t have a slider and gave Mantra a 1 star review.

    I went back to my previous theme until I could find a theme that not only worked but had DEPENDABLE AND RELIABLE technical support. It did me absolutely no good to stick with a theme that had a function that DID NOT WORK! And yes, you got a 1 star review and deservedly so. Maybe if you took more time to actually support and stand behind your product that posting snarky replies you would be better off.
