Need help with upgrading

I’d try to upload a fresh copy of that file – sometimes files get corrupted during the download/unzip/upload.

Uploading the file did not do anything, still the same error message:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ‘;’, expecting T_VARIABLE or ‘$’ in /home/lawre2/public_html/blog/wp-includes/functions-post.php on line 773

Help!

Make sure you delete before re-uploading?

I did… I am doing the whole delete and upload again. Let’s see how it goes this time.

I followed the Delete and Upload steps of the upgrade instuctions and still am getting the same error…

I even deleted all the files and tried to install rather than upgrade. Once I ran install.php I got asked for wp-config.php and after I installed it, I got the same message (now on https://www.lmmiller.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php):

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ‘;’, expecting T_VARIABLE or ‘$’ in /home/lawre2/public_html/blog/wp-includes/functions-post.php on line 773

I really do need help from someone who can help me with this! Thanks in advance!
