Crowdfunding featured image box?

    Hi.
    I installed Easy Digital Downloads 1.8.1, started some campaigns, then installed Crowdfunding 1.7.3 on a WP 3.6.1 site. When I had only Easy Digital Downloads everything was ok, but now I can’t no more upload a featured image because the relative box is not visible, deactivating Crowfunding it becomes visible again. What to do? Thanks

    I’m using Newsplus v. 1.0.3

    The Crowdfunding plugin is built for use explicitly with our Fundify and Campaignify themes. If you are using the plugin with a different theme, you will need to contact the theme developer for support.

    I read this in the plugin features of WP repository “… Easy to theme and integrate into your own site which uses Easy Digital Downloads” and I thought it was possible easily by myself, isn’it?

    It is, but Featured Image box is enabled/disabled by your theme author

    I’m actually using the featured image in the theme because it is necessary for all the posts lists. I’m testing Crowdfunding in local but this is the site where it will be on (theme Newsplus, featured image on).

    As per the description:

    Premium Themes
    We currently have two compatible themes that have been released:

    The first theme released is called “Fundify” from Astoundify A large community crowdfunding theme, like Kickstarter or Indiegogo.

    The second theme released is called “Campaignify” from Astoundify A multi-purpose crowdfunding theme, great for single project crowdfunding.

    So what the WP repository tells is not true. The site I’m creating will be only for a small part for crowdfunding so that the theme I need to use can’t be necessarily one of the two you released, too much specific for crowdfunding only. Support for using the plugin in my site is free? Thank you

    If you are using the plugin with a theme other than the two mentioned, you would need to perform any manual setup yourself, which includes resolving any conflicts with a theme, adding any required functions for the ‘Easy Digital Downloads’ plugin, and so forth.

    This isn’t a plugin built for use with any and all themes.

    ok. May I use Easy Digital Downloads and a Paypal payment plugin instead?

    I’m not sure what you mean by ‘instead’ — EDD and a payment gateway are required. The theme you’re using is the issue here.
